Kari watched intently as Destiny expertly assembled the gratin. She was struck by just how skilled her young protégé had become. Where once there was hesitance, now there was confidence and flair.

After the filming wrapped up, Kari pulled Destiny aside. "You've really come into your own," she said warmly. "Your skills have reached an entirely new level."

Destiny blushed at the praise. "You really think so?"

"I know so," Kari replied. She leaned in conspiratorially. "In fact, I believe your talents extend beyond the culinary arts. Your abilities hint at... greater gifts."

Destiny's eyes widened. "You don't mean..."

"Oh, but I do," said Kari with a knowing smile. "Cooking and magic have more in common than you realize, Destiny. I believe you have the potential for both."

Destiny was shocked. Is Kari saying what she thinks she's saying?

"I... I don't know what to say," Destiny stammered.

"You needn't say anything just yet," Kari reassured her. "I know this is a lot to take in. But I've been searching for the right apprentice to share my knowledge with. And I believe I've found her in you."

Excitement bloomed in Destiny's chest, but uncertainty still lingered. "Are you sure about me?" she asked hesitantly. "I mean, most of the time I'm just a bumbling..."

"You have a rare gift, Destiny," Kari said firmly. "With time and training, you will see it too. For now, trust me. Will you accept an apprenticeship under my guidance? You don't have to answer now, take your time, think about it, mull it over."

Destiny could hardly believe this was happening. To learn magic and cooking from the legendary Kari Magnusson...it was a dream come true.

"Yes!" she exclaimed. "I accept!"

Kari grinned, her blue eyes twinkling. "Excellent. We will start, as soon as the holidays are over. For now, go impress some guests with your superb gratin."
